Elastic City is celebrating the fist ever festival of participatory walks this September 29-October 7th. Started by Asylum Artist Todd Shalom, the organization engages artists in walks that bring a different perspective in touring the city. The festival consists of eight new walks by artists, including Nisan Haymian (Almog) with his piece Twelve Gray Lemons. Nisan Haymian, a visual artist and urbanist, will have participants visit Persian cultural landmarks in New York, and consider questions of immigration and identity, in this event from Sept. 29 to Oct. 1.
