After four successful retreats in Tel Aviv, Asylum Arts returned with the fifth Artist Career Development Program. Building on our on-going partnership with Artport, ACDP continues to support Israeli artists to work on the international contemporary art stage.
ACDP featured a unique program for emerging Israeli visual artists to advance their professional skills and build a community of artists. ACDP helped artists develop individualized, practical action plans to achieve their career goals.
ACDP included sessions on financial management, budgeting, and individual fundraising as well as how to widen the artists’ spheres of influence. Other professional development sessions included workshops on how to work with galleries, marketing, social media and online presence, and how to approach the press. Additionally, artists had a chance to prepare brief public presentations about their work, which was delivered to an audience of their peers and other stakeholders and special invited guests.
