For the fourth year, we held the International Jewish Artist Retreat in Garrison, NY at the Garrison Institute. For this retreat, we invited artists from the Asylum network for an Alumni Retreat, bringing together 80 artists who had previously been to other international and local retreats. This gathering strengthened our global community of Jewish artists and activated the power of the network. We had 26 sessions taught by artists and these included Marinated Drawings, Self-Love for Artists, Improv Comedy, Exploring Texts and Bookmaking, Kabbalah for Grant Writing. This dynamic group from all over the world asked questions about our collective present and future, and helped us think about how to move forward with our work.
