For the third year, we brought together Jewish artists from all over the world for our International Jewish Artist Retreat, a three-day retreat of learning, networking, and professional development. The retreat allows artists to explore and deepen their connections to Jewish ideas, culture, and community. 79 multi-disciplinary artists from around the world came together at the beautiful Garrison Institute in New York to learn from industry professionals, working artists, and from each other.
Sessions led by industry professionals included: How to Use Marketing to Increase Your Profile, Negotiating Relationships with Artists, Fundraising: The American Model of Individual Giving and How to Make It Work. The retreat also included sessions led by artist-participants, and these included sessions about professional skills, artistic skills, philosophy, history, and physical movement.
